Chapel Cottage renovation

A full house renovation which included stripping out the property, new roofs, gable wall, new porch, window and door openings. Underfloor heating to ground floor large brick fire place.

LOCATION: Chapel Cottage, Cotherstone

COMPLETED: 2017

This project started with a lot of stripping out and demolition works to take it back to almost four walls. All floors were removed on the first and ground floor dug out and lowered with a new sub-floor installed.

A new block gable wall was built to help support the existing stone gable as it had been previously built with no wall ties in.

All the original blue slates were stripped off, new YBS Breather Quilt fitted and the existing slates re-fitted.

A new porch build to the front of the property with new window opening made to the front and side, the front side also got hacked out and re-pointed using a lime mortar mix.

Underfloor heating laid to the ground floor, new electrics through out, a new reclaimed brick fire place, pointing works done to an internal wall.

New dry lining, insulation to the external walls and plasterboard and skimmed through out.

Outside we built a new dry stone wall.
