LOCATION: MIddleton-in-Teesdale, Co Durham

COMPLETED: 2020

A complete design, build and transformation of a field next to this property into a garden area at different levels and coverings from block paving, Yorkshire stone flags, grass, Indian paving and coloured gravel.

The different levels were separated with block and stone retaining walls, Larch garden sleepers (supplied by Grahams Logs) and dry stone walling.

The bottom layer was connecting to the existing decking by a bridge finished with Trex decking boards, this leads to the bottom level with the summer room build from scratch with Larch sleepers, timber walls finished inside with marine plywood, insulated in the middle and plywood top off with cedar cladding.

The bottom are has Trex decking, Indian circle paving kits, block paving, granite cobble edging and Yorkshire stone paving, which leads you up to the second level by Larch steps to the lawn area.

The top area is a mixture of Indian paving, coloured gravel and Larch sleepers.

Each area has different lighting from decking lights in the bridge, spot lights externally on the summer house, up and down lights on the Larch wall and ground lights to the top area.
